Many Police were conscripted for National Service during the Vietnam War (1964 - 1972). They are honoured on the Wall of Remembrance at the Police Chapel in Goulburn. The war and conscription eventually polarised the community and police clashed with demonstrators as the anti-war and moratorium movements grew.
